When the 7-day free trail ended I didnt think much of it as I only used the service for a day or two. Im a student so there isnt much of a budget for a 25$ monthly subscription. so i had logged in to lynda.com and they said that you can easily access the lynda 7 day free trial. I logged in and used it for 2-3 days and stopped using it. i agree that i forgot to deactivate my account but that does not mean that they use my details to just charge me without even asking before doing so at least an email asking for confirmation of this. Agreed maybe its your company policy but at least inform the people before charging them....

Lynda.com free trial - avoid it Despite cancelling within the trial period I had a years' subscription devoted from my account. Cancelling an account is deliberately confusing, as undoubtedly will the process of attempting to claim a refund. I recommend opting to use PayPal and decoupling your account instead of needing to dispute a credit card transaction with your bank. Terrible. 0/5 dishonest and deliberately misleading.

Later I found out that I was still being charged 24.99 for one month despite canceling it well before the trail period is over. Try to contact Lynda a few times via email but they totally ignore it. Not only the I feel the 10 days free trail is a scam, but the totally no follow up customer service at all. I had signed up for a FREE TRIAL on lynda. I was asked for my paypal account and such, I figured that was only needed if I was going to continue the trial, which I wasn't planning to. I didn't even use ANY trial during the whole time I signed up, I think I forgot about it. But in the end, I was charged over 40 dollars. I didn't even use anything for the free trial! I can't believe they did this. Don't use lynda, and if you do, just don't sign up...
